The problem
Sample Consulting had built up a decade of project reports — strategy memos, technical analyses, market reviews — that nobody could search effectively. New consultants joining the team kept reinventing work that had already been done. Senior partners spent hours digging through SharePoint to find the one report they remembered from three years ago.
What we built
Phase one: a new marketing site that actually reflected the practice — fast, clean, and content-driven. Phase two: a private AI assistant trained on the entire report archive using retrieval-augmented generation. Every answer cites the source documents so consultants can verify before relying on it.
The assistant lives behind SSO and is only available to staff. Citations link directly to the underlying report. An admin dashboard tracks usage, common questions, and cost.
Results
The team now resolves “have we worked on something like this before?” queries in seconds instead of hours. Internal usage has grown organically — about 80% of consultants now query it at least weekly. Most importantly, partners report that proposals reference past work more accurately, leading to better scoping and fewer revisions.
